How difference between playing professional golf and amateur golf, it may be a thin line. Many amateur golfers that can score at the professional level, however, are not able to do so consistently and often lack the qualifying tournaments for the tour.
Imagine that you are golfers who play professional golf one day and earn a living doing something really, really love. Your office is at the course, and all colleagues are people who love the game as much as you. They share common interests in the golf professional level and can be a very satisfying career. Qualification for professional golf is absolutely different story. It is high competitive and can be extremely difficult to penetrate. Many people try their whole lives to qualify and always end up short. You need to practice, lots of commitment and ability to take a lot of disappointment to play professional golf, whether you are for!
To start playing professional golf, one must first qualify for “Q” School or Qualifying School. Q Schools are qualifying tournament for the annually major channels, such as PGA and LPGA. In Q School, a limited group of players win membership to the tour for next season. This is known as the “tour card” for you to be able to play most of the tour events without having to qualify.
It is very tough to get into the Q school and many professional golfers can’t achieve it. Golfer may be up to 4 stages to get through, like a regular golf tournament with only a small number of players moving on to the next step. The final qualifying school may play up to 6 rounds compared to the 4-standard rounds in a professional golf tournament. If the golfer who do well at Q school, then can reach the elite level of competition very quick.
You can also enjoy a game of professional golf in other ways. Finished near the top of the list of money around the development of the tour, winning a tournament on the circuit after qualifying as a guest of a sponsor, or to earn enough money on multiple events during the tour to meet the criteria regardless of the tour for promotion to be full membership.
